Original map of Bondeno.
This is just part of the actual map used by my father. The whole map is in fact still intact and in good condition. Here is what he wrote on the back of the map. "This is the actual map I used as a commander of the "recce" troop during the last action we were in. the "bounds" marked in red were put in during our briefing by "The Sheep" the night before the dawn attack and were our objectives. PS The brown stains are not what they seem, (though there was probably plenty about that day!) but are genuine Italian "fango", mud. PPS I should mention, as so many years have passed and not many of us are left, that "The Sheep" was the O.R.'s nickname for our squadron leader, Major Goodrich, because he wore a sheepskin duffle coat winter and summer.
